Okay folks. I hope you had a nice time last night. Of course, I never sleep so I'm proably the first and only one up at my usual 6-7 in the morning. Blame the dog. lol Anyway, I had a great time last night with friends. It was like Christmas all over again because we weren't able to see each other for Christmas and we exchanged gifts so that was nice. ;D Anyway, about the New Year's Resolutions.... does anyone's resolution actually involve following it? lol I mean, people make promises to themselves at the begining of the year, however, I don't think people are ready at the begining of the year and lots of people certainly aren't disciplined enough. I think it's a setup for disappointment. How about anyone else? Let's declare this the "New Year's Thread" ...lol

Well I often don't bother with a New Year's Resolution at all lol, but this year is different. I resolve to get out more socially by joining a few clubs etc.. I've already joined a Salsa class which is great fun! On a more serious note I'm resolving to be a better Catholic because this past year I've become very complacent and I'm ashamed of myself. Tomorrow I'm going to confession and then to Mass, so I can start the New Year really well.

I don't make them. Call me a realist, but I make small ones every day, not some big lump sum.

I never keep resolutions. Seriously, I'm extremely pathetic in that respect. I'm always blowing things off when I'm not in the mood for them.

Hmmm, I don't think I've really made or kept any. I think most people make them but do not lay out a clear plan to get to their goal.

Yeah, I think that's the main problem.

i made a resolution to get fit so i can play football better (i still dream of playing it professionally, though realistically i'm too old to start, but that's not going to stop me). i made that resolution around the time of new year but i didn't actually start going out running until last sunday, and now i'm out practically once a day. it gets easier each time, so that probably means it's doing some good, but i haven't played football yet this year, so i'll find out if it's actually doing anything when i start playing again. also the typical student resolution - this semester i'm going to go to all my lectures, do lots of work and get straight A's (as a typical student, however, i've already missed quite a few ). and my personal annual resolution - get a girlfriend ...
