I love the sound of rain, the crack of thunder, the awesome power of lightning, and cooling gusts of wind. There is something about this manifestation of nature that really makes me feel good. I absolutely love storms.
Is there anyone else?

I remember my parents yelling at me to come inside at one am last year when Isabel hit. I like the wind. It just seems to connotate such incredible power to save or to destroy. I guess its just really my element. ;D

Yay, I finally get to reply. (I kept trying, but I think ProBoards was testing my loyalty.)
I really love the thunderstorms here in Atlanta. I had never seen so much rain until I moved down here. Crazy buckets o' water.
Storms are good for purification rituals. ;D

I Love storms the sound of the rain pounding, and the change in the sky as the ligtning cracks..Hated it though when my yorkie Pebbles was alive..A few yrs ago we had a real bad storm, and lightning hit our house well the sound of the thunder was really loud, and after that she was terrified of it..Even the click of the toaster made her shake, pant it was real bad..Now I don't have to worry..

I LOVE the storms we have here because I live by the water and it makes for some interesting entertainment. My dad once told me that when he was little, the creek flooded so bad during a rainstorm that the water came up to just below the windows on my Grandparent's house...and so they fished out the window!

I will never forget the time when my brothers TV suddenly burst on and the volume was on full blast and there was absolutely no reception. He so sound asleep, he didn't even hear it! I had to turn it off, but something got struck by lightnigh for that to happen. I also remember a few years ago a few houses down, my neighbor's tree got struck by lightning. Drove past to find the tree was spilt in half. I wish I had my camera back then...it was quite a sight. Storms are always so damn close to me.

My friend and I were taking a walk while it was raining (this was around when I was 10) and the wind came and blew her umbrella upward and then lightening struck it and it caught on fire. It was hilarious.

Well now that all depends on the manner of the storm. If it's going to be something that might bring tornadoes, now I'd rather not have it. I fear them and I spent one too many days of my childhood in the closet because there was talk on the news of a funnel cloud near by.
I like rain and the storm being angry, as long as it doesn't damage the cars with hail. And I love the smell afterwards, the air feeling so fresh and clear.
Don't get me wrong, if I didn't live in a tiny house, I'd probably like it, or if I had a car garage I would.
It certainly makes for lazy "I'm going to stay int he bed and look out the window" weather, doesn't it? ;D I'd love to live in a log cabin or a big house and just listen to it storm, it would be awesome!

When I lived in West Virginia I had a tin roof over the porch. I would go out there when it would storm so as to better hear the rain. Then you have the hills and valleys which would make the thunder roll.
Ahh the good old days.
