We've fallen out on our forum games, so I thought I will introduce one more...specialized to the forum. The rules are simple:
Interpret the last "Cryptic Phrase." Provide your own "Cryptic Phrase." (Preferably made by you, cite author if not)
To start us off:
It takes a great man to bend knee, but one greater still to bend neck.
Good luck! ;D

What if I interpret it wrong? I know I can get stupid sometimes.

Okay, I'll try it anyway. This is the way I see it. A knee is meant to bend and that's all it's meant to do...damn it, but so can the neck! But the neck can also stretch... ugh, but the stpid thing doesn't speak of that! And what makes the neck better than the knee anyway? The neck can turn the head... The knee can bend in one direction and the neck can bend and turn and flex in all sorts. So one who is able to do many things and adjust to various situations is great? ... ... why don't we wait to see if it's right first before we go ont another one, eh?

Um....well, the point is that we can see each person's individual perspective. You appear to have gleaned a meaning from it (though widely different from the one I originally made it for). Thought of your own yet? ;D

Nope. Not smart enough to think of one.

Having tried to explain this to the person I am on the phone with (and failing) I figure I better just give what I intended it to mean. It takes a great man to admit wrong and request mercy, but a greater man still to admit wrong and request punishment.

Then how come my anwer wasn't cool enough? I eventually led to something I thought. And the biggest question before I hurt the game anymore, is why would a knee and neck be used in this analogy? That's why I listed characteristics.

To bend knee is to admit defeat or beg. To bend neck signified not only compliance, but putting one's head on the block.

Hey and you know what's interesting is how people seem to take such postures for those reasons? Does anyone else have a "cryptic phrase" or did I ruin the game good?
