Why Attending Religious Services May Benefit HealthWeekly attendance to houses of worship is associated with lower mortality rates and healthier lifestyles.
The number of Americans who attend religious services at least once a week jumped nearly three points to 27.5 percent during the two years ended in 2004, according to statistics to be released this week by the University of Chicago's National Opinion Research Center.
This leap could be good news for the nation's health. A growing body of scientific evidence shows that Americans who attend religious services at least once a week enjoy better-than-average health and lower rates of illness, including depression. Yeah, I heard of this theory before. I believe doing anything that makes you feel good would make you live longer. They even have that rule for The Sims 2. lol Besides, I also think that when people have goals and aspirations and reach for higher things, they may want to live life longer anyway. I think it's all connected somehow.

if you have something to do then you'll live longer than someone who's completely idle. that's why when you retire (a long way off for most of us on this board) you should find something to keep yourself occupied, otherwise you'll just die within a matter of months, possibly.
