Has anyone been aware of any of the recent activity involving violence and schools? I'm not jsut talking about children going into schools and shooting them, but the instance like the truck driver coming into an Amish community and killing a lot of the children. Check this case out Fatal shooting at US Amish schoolA gunman has shot dead four girls and injured several others before killing himself in an attack on an Amish school in the US state of Pennsylvania. What do you guys think of the reasoning behind such acts? and then of course here is another one. That one is about the wisconsin incident. There was another one in the past week that happend, but I am not too clear on which one it was. Any thoughts on any of this stuff?

I've a few thoughts.
1. Children who have been abused often act aggressively toward others.
2. It is sad, but we may be quickly coming to a time where every school needs to have some personal armed and trained to stop this stuff.
3. Despite the fact that the guy who attacked the Amish school had an illegal weapon in a part of the country where having a gun legally is almost imposable this will lead to more calls to violate the second amendment.
4. the influence of bad parents violent movies and other anti social stuff made by Hollywood puts ideas like this into peoples heads. They will not be held accountable by the courts for the results of their actions though.

Very interesting points teancum. Does anyone have any other thoughts on the matter or would like to elaborate on his points?
