I only caught a small bit, but some kid in Tennessee killed one guy and wounded a few others. They are talking about trying him as an adult I think he is 15.
Thoughts?
Reactions?

A link to the story... Town seeks answers after shooting
In a valley at the foot of the Great Smoky Mountains, another community tried to make sense Wednesday of a deadly shooting by a student at a school.
This time the alleged killer was a 15-year-old freshman who opened fire in an office at Campbell County Comprehensive High School and killed an assistant principal. He also seriously wounded two other administrators, police said. ( click to continue reading) The thing with this scenario is that there is always someone saying that it could not happen in their small town. But for some reason, I don't think that can be classified as an exception. I mean, you may know nearly everyone in town, but still... not everyone is open about their thoughts and feelings. Especially teens who are going through a lot of inner and outter turnmoil. And I'm kinda upset that authorities won't let people know the motives. How are we going to know why people do things like this if they won't tell us? From the article: I think that's true. If one wants to feel more secure, do a little of both. But I think things (emotions and most problems) work from inside-out, not always outside-in. And if things inside are being addressed, then I think humanity has a better chance at solving problems. Edit to add: Just wanted to fix up the story s you can see the difference between the story and what I wrote.

Thanks for sticking the story up I could not find any links when made the first post I just caught it on TV on my way out.
It will be interesting to see if the prompts yet another anti gun attack. You know the ones where the victim is brainwashed by the gun to take it to school and forces the victim to stand helpless to stop the gun as it aims and fires all by itself.
It is kind of funny how much time and money goes into metal detectors and such at school when all we need to do is get kids to not want to shot each other. “Software”

Yes this is really sad. We shouldn't have to set up full prison security systems in schools. I think all we can really do is try to teach kids that taking a gun to school and shooting people is not the way to handle their problems. However, that risk is always going to be there, even if we take guns away. If you take guns away then there are still knives. Take those away and there are other means (my mom got stabbed with a pencil in elementary school back in the 60s).

This kid sounds like the typical product of the American educational system.
