I feel stupid for even asking this question, but I want to be certain that I get it right. I've been taught this before, but I've used it every once in a while and so, I never really allowed it to sink into my mind. But I have a feeling I'll need to use it more often. I've got a general idea, but..meh. So yeah... I'm pretty sure this is it. *shame on me*

Tara, it can depend on what Style Guide your professor wants you to use. MLA is probably fine. Another common one is Chicago. (That site has several others, but they are more specialized, I think.)

That is one of the first things we are required to learn. You can get in deep crap if you get it wrong.
