Okay, so my subscription ran out. I can renew it, but I have to have the subscription key. Where the hell do I get that? The program came with the computer and was updating and doing what I wanted to do. I don't remember subscribing... If I can't figure out how to find it, do you think it would be wise to try to get the thing off my computer and buy a new one where I would actully have the subscription key? I'm confused...

Usually if there is a Help page, your subscription key is on it. Which a-v software is it?
I have Norton... so I have to click "Help & Support" and then choose "About..." Then there is a tab on which are my ID numbers including subscription keys.

Hmm... it doesn't seem like the subscription key is there. However, my ID number is there. Perhaps I'm looking at the wrong tab?

Since it came with the computer, it could be that it was just a trial subscription... but usually even then they will give you upgrade instructions. My Norton came with my computer, and when it ran out I upgraded online without a hitch. But if you're using McAfee, well... that's a different story...

I think I'm using the one you're using. I'll check their help site.
