Bumperstickers and decor on/in vehicles

What kind of bumpstickers have you seen on vehicles (not online) that you thought were odd, amusing, interesting, etc.?

And I have a question, how come there are those oval shaped stickers that have a black outlining and have letters on them, but they don't spell words? How are people going to know what they stand for? They seem so random and annonymous?

Oh yeah, and what kind of stickers and designs do you have in/on your car?

i don't have any bumper stickers (they're not very common in the UK) but my favourite football club makes little miniature prints of their strip on bits of plastic that you can stick to your back windscreen with a sucker, so i got one of those ;D

a common thing in scotland is to have a sticker on the back of your car (probably the closest thing to a bumper sticker) which is simply a small saltire saying "ecosse" underneath - that's french for "scotland", by the way ...

you can see some of them here (i would have put the pictures themselves on here, but they were a bit big)

one of my uncles used to live in the US and he said he'd seen a few bumper stickers saying "give blood, play rugby" - as in, rugby's more hardcore than american football . i'm not a fan of rugby or american football, but american football looks a lot more fun.

so yeah, that's the only stickers that come to mind for me

I saw one during last year's Bush-Kerry campaign that expressed my feelings perfectly. It said:

"Someone else for president."

I have only one bumper sticker on my car. It says, "Kindess to animals builds a better world for all of us."

I brought it up because I saw a sticker that said, "Have a faerie nice day".

I thought those oval stickers originated in Europe to identify the country for drivers (though I don't know why).

But the ones we see here in the U.S. are just made up to be cute, I think.

The oval circles (in the US) can be bought at different vacation locations. It basically shows that you go there yearly/frequently.

they're not a requirement, it's just something lots of people tend to stick on their cars to show off where they are from (and rightly so )

Has anyone seen those Equal Sign bumperstickers? The first time I saw one I was like, Que? Now I know they are used to say that the driver believes in equality. I like those. Simple, meaningful.

I also liked all of the creative stickers that people came up for during the Kerry-Bush elections. They weren't *just* Kerry for president types of stickers. One of my neighbors has a sticker that says "Mission Nothing Accomplished" and another has one that says, "The United States Constitution" and written over it in red letters is, "Void Where Prohibited."

oh yeah, some cars over here have the fish symbol to show that they are christians, i'm sure you have that in the US too?

We have the fish. We have fish that actually say "Jesus". We have fish with legs and eyes that say "Darwin" or "Evolution". We also have some that have a Jesus-fish eating a Darwin-fish or vice versa.

lol Yeah, I've seen those. I've also seen those things that aren't stickers, but I guess they're little metal things that you tack onto your car or something. I've seen the Jesus fish like that.

I've also seen the sticker Jesus fish with the words "porn" in it. lol
