I know for a fact that I am not the only one with a milk addiction. But there is a problem, I'm the only girl/female with this milk addiction (that I know of). I've been told that women should not be drinking milk, especially excessive amounts and most especially from other mammals. (On my good days, I drink three glasses, on my "bad" days I can drink up to five ) I never asked anyone until now if there is valid scientific evidence that women should not be drinking other mammals milk.

*Shhhh* The only thing in milk that is exceptionally good for you is the calcium. The rest is, acutually, generally, bad for you. You probably need more calcium. I am giving you a prescription for calcium pills. ;D

If you do a search on google.com, you'll find that the healthiest people are usually those who consume lots of vegetables and grains (like Asians, etc.) and little to no meat or dairy products. I read that up until recently, the Japanese were the healthiest people overall, but because of the increased popularity of fast-food, etc. they've started having trouble with obesity and other diseases. Just "food" for thought.

And it's a wonder why my body's been aching for that stuff... I'm still sad however because I started out drinking milk not only b/c it tastes good, but because it left a nice coating for my stomach from a lot of other things. For example, even artificial juice bothers me if I drink more than a glass, that's why I normally drink natural fruit juice. But if there is no other natural drink (and at times I have a disposition for water, whether it's treated or not) I'd run for the milk. I've even had what you call "milk withdrawls". It's a sad case really. lol

Tara, the next time you go to the grocery store, look for the So Good fortified soy milk. They usually carry it in mainstream grocery stores (at least they do here). Trust me when I say you might like it. I think it tastes similar to cow's milk, but maybe slightly sweeter...? Anyway, I usually buy this kind for myself.

Actually, I've never liked it, unless it's ice cream. I have heartburn frequently and people tell me I should drink it, but BLEH!
I have ran into a lot of people who had to have soy milk when they were babies grow up not liking regular milk. My body just couldn't digest regular formula-same with my brothers.
Soy Milk? I wonder how expensive it is? I might try that out.

Speaking of ice cream... Tofutti is a good brand too, if anyone's interested. I'm lactose intolerant, so I've had to get 'acquainted' with these things.

I've had soy milk before. It doesn't taste bad at all. But I couldn't guzzle it like I do milk and it sits heavy in my stomach at times. I think I need to continue with the soy milk.
