Hey guys i read a little discussin of this in the "Did God create evil" thread but i wanted to restart the conversation with a new idea to ponder starting from this quote. "From a quantum mechanical perspective, time itself is, relatively speaking, superficial. Modern physics tell us that on the deepest levels of existence, time does, in fact, not exist. There is no sequence of events. There is only simultaneity of all that is. Simultaneity is like a deck of cards spread out over the face of the illusion of time. Time is an expression of that which lies beyond the grasp of time. It is essential to understand that from this deepest perspective, the question of free will versus predetermination ceases to exist. They become one and the same thing. In other words, if ultimately there is no time, then there is no sequentiality. There is, then, no difference between free will and predetermination." Michael Mamas I think that is a really intriguing thought, what if time itself is superficial and does not exist. That would make free - will and predestination completely irrelevant and they would be the same thing. Just wondering what you guys think........ peace to all

Well for my 2 cents.
Time more or less only is a reality to men and not to God. (how I have no clue). I don't by into predestination as I understand it. Just because God knows what will happen does not mean that He makes it that way. We are all responsible for our choices and God knowing what that choice is does not make it any less ours.

What is time? Time is a man made concept to allow for easier catergorizing of events.

So can a mortal escape time or is it a fact of mortal life?

Nope. A mortal is bound by its creation. Some even believe that the Gods are bound by it also.

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Well God made all things. He gave us freewill. He knows all. I agree with teancum
