Has anyone seen it yet? I saw it yesterday on my birthday and it was pretty good, even though they were trying to use too much of a scare tatic to scare people about aliens IMO. But other then that it was a pretty good movie and had me on the edge of my seat a few times...I give it 4 out of 5 stars mostly cause of the scare tatic.

Is this a fiction movie? I'm gonna assume it is. (see how much I watch TV? I don't even know what's on anymore! lol) I vaguely remember a comercial, thought it was interesting and then went to go do something else. Maybe I'll see it.

it's based on a classic novel of the same name by a famous author (so famous i can't think of his name at the moment ) and i've heard mixed reviews. i haven't spoken to anyone who's seen it but i heard a review on the radio and some of the critics loved it while others hated it.

tell yah what if he does a good enough job to make me forget he's Tom Cruise with all the fuss he's been making lately, then it's a good movie. Sorry everyone but lately he's everywhere in the news and that sometimes makes me want to not watch a movie until the hub bub dies down. My brother said he saw it and it seemed to him like a good movie, so who knows.

well, i saw the film tonight and i didn't like it much.
i enjoyed it as it was going but it seemed to be based around the special effects rather than an actual story. one of my friends that i went with said it was like another "day after tomorrow" but i never saw that film so i can't compare.
it was quite enjoyable as it went along but there loads of obvious errors and too much was left unexplained. and then it ended. very abruptly and with next to no explanation of why. "for no man lives and dies in vain" it says at the end ... what's that got to do with anything?

H G Wells is the name of the author of the original book, i might give that a shot if i'm feeling particularly masochistic some people i went with liked it, but ultimately i found it a bit disappointing. tom cruise did a good job, however (it's funny how they seem to change the scenery around to disguise the fact that he's a midget)

Great special effects and very suspenseful at times; I also loved how the action never slowed down or left you in a boring scene.
