I was just wondering... do you guys think we should try like a monthly reading thing and then talk about it? I mean, it could be on any topic (as long as it goes with forum rules b/c we have to talk about it. ) What do you say and if so, which book should we start with?

Yes,, but I think it would have to be a book at first that was easily found in a used book store or even a normal one. That way everybody on here can find it.
I usually wait for whatever I want to read to come out in paperback so it's cheaper.
I think it's a great idea, because I love to read, what kind of books would be suitable?

Well religion would be obvious. We can have cultural one as well. Fiction or nonfiction...it really doesn't matter. We really have to talk with whomever would like to do it and figure out our interests from there. But I can tell you, if it's a documentary, I'd rather it not be long and written like a boring monotonous professor. But that's my personal opinion and has nothing to do with the "rules" to which books we should choose.

Yeah, this sounds like a great idea.

Okay, so which genre should we try first?

Okay, maybe we should pick an author. How about Deepak Chopra or Stephan A. Hoeller or Elaine Pagels? How about something from Poe?
