I think we have a few people here who are into acting and broadway and all that. Has anyone here actually performed? I mean, any kind of performance like school plays or community plays or something? I was only in two plays all my life. It was a few years ago I was in Alice in Wonderland and MacBeth for school plays. Those are my only experiences in acting. There was one time though in which I was in some kind of dance performance thing or something. I was in elementary school and towards the end of the year, each class in that school did a performance for the school. It was during school hours. I remember how much fun I had.

I had been involved in community theatre for quite a few years.
Let's see....
"Wizard of Oz" (the Wizard) "It's A Wonderful Life" (The Bailey Son) "A Christmas Carol" (Peter Cratchit) "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" (Edmund)
Err, I can't think of anymore, but those were certainly my favorites.

Hehe, I havn't acted in a long while. Did 4 plays in elementary school, and nothing since. Currently I am training to play a part in an Order of the Arrow (kind of a fraternity, but not really) ceremony. I get to play a wise, old shaman. ;D

Hehe....... Its all about the voice really -- the ceremonies are generally done by firelight, and in costumes, so you can't tell too much about a person other than that. One of my theatrical voices is a "storyteller" voice, which is what the shaman does. Deep and booming.

I was in drama classes in high school and auditioned for a few places, but we had a very difficult drama teacher that expected us to be there to rehearse on holidays like thanksgiving, and no, just no. Plus that, everything the drama appartment did had to be done out of the student's own pocket because there was no funding for it. Of course, every year though the football players had everything they needed. So did the cheerleaders. I do love to act and sing and play, heh, and one day might resume it, if I get my courage up.
Girl I love Broadway musicals and plays. I wish I lived in New York so I could be closer to all of it!

And what's worse as that our football team almost never wins! Meanwhile, most donations to our drama program goes to charities or to help out an unfortunate student or something. The director here would never burn us out like that and our plays are quite exceptional. That's bullshit. Your director needs to take some lessons from mine.

I used to belong to a theatre group...though I'm still "officially" a member because I helped put it together and blah blah blah. Anyways, I've been in sooo many plays. I started when I was four, so I don't actually remember what a lot of them were called, but I've done "The Music Man," "Anne of Green Gables," "MacBeth," "A Midsummer Night's Dream," "The Twelfth Night," and many, MANY others. A few of them written and directed by mysellf and other drama students, etc. We did quite a few French skits back in elementry school.
