I have a couple of instrumental CDs I listen to... one is harp, the other piano... both are old hymns and Christmas songs. I don't play too much music with lyrics 'cause when I do I sing and get nothing else done

You sound like me. What kind of instrumentals. I kinda brought this up because I want to search for some instrumental music for the upcoming holidays so I can sing without someone else singing. I also like the atmosphere of listening to instrumental b/c it leaves room for your mind to think and/or wander off where no one can find you. ;D

I have a few CDs from the National Cathedral, though I don't really like them (but my mom loves them *shhhhhhh*). I have this jazzy CD I listen to. *Goes off to get it*

I knew the harpist -- he is not famous so you can't get that one (sorry!). The pianist is Chris Rice. I got my copy from Sound & Spirit. He's my favorite artist.

Oh yes, we have Kenny G, Manheim Steamroller, Trans Siberan Orchestra, and several other christmas cds..even a looney tunes one..
I love traditional christmas music, like, after thanksgiving....with it starting earlier every year, it's kind of overkill...

I only have two sources of Christmas music, everything else is MIA. One is Mariah Carey's Christmas Cd (forget which year) and another is Sal Sol Orchestra. The music on Sal Sol never stops and they somehow manage to make a nice transition from one song to another. It's a mix of dance (not pop), jazz and classical. Good stuff. I'm not sure how old they are though, but I think they're pretty old. Overkill or not, I still want some music. And to tell you a secret... I've been sining carols a week before Thanksgiving. Hey, I wanted to make sure to get the lyrics right for Christmas! I mean how many of you can sy that you know all Christmas Carols by heart and can get the tune right! ;D

Oh , even I watched Elf and played a little christmas keroke, or whatever it was called on the dvd.
I guess what I mind is the commercialism aspect of it coming so early, not the music.

Don't worry about it. I'm not as up to date as you think.

The death march...
Christmas music is the devil!
Edit to add: Ok...that's not completely true. I like that holiday special, Rudolph. You know, the one with the "bumble." lol

The hyper-happy stuff I will agree with you. I listen to really depressing music, or so they tell me.
