'South Park' Creators Respond to Muhammad Image Ban

NEW YORK, April 13 - Banned by Comedy Central from showing an image of the Islamic prophet Muhammad, the creators of "South Park" skewered their own network for hypocrisy in the cartoon's most recent episode.
The comedy - in an episode aired during Holy Week for Christians - instead featured an image of Jesus Christ defecating on President George W. Bush and the American flag. ยป Continue...

for crying out loud, that let's the terrorists win  i love it when south park take the piss out of politics (you can vote for a giant douche or a dog-crap sandwich ... but you have to vote!) and religion (scientology ... lol!), it's fandabbydozy  |

for crying out loud, that let's the terrorists win i love it when south park take the piss out of politics (you can vote for a giant douche or a dog-crap sandwich ... but you have to vote!) and religion (scientology ... lol!), it's fandabbydozy I've seen that episode (its actually a 2 part episode) where they block him out, but I've heard they just censored it and that later on they will show the episodes with him uncensored. Just to not escalate the situation (plus I think rich Arabs have stakes in US television channels). Infact I remember watching a episode called "Blaintology" ( #lol# #lol# #lol# ) and Mohammed was in that episode. He was on of the Super Best Friends (as was Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, Joseph Smith, Lao Tsu, Moses and Seaman?  ). |

lol, i remember that episode too  i downloaded (illegally, yes, but i really wanted to see it) an uncensored version of the mohammed episode which somehow made it out onto the net. it was exactly the same but the bit where it cuts out with the black screen saying "fox wanted this censored" you just see mohammed turn up at the door and act like an ordinary, civilised person. then later on you see jesus shitting all over george bush - so it's ok to show this on tv but it's not ok to show the muslim prophet acting normal and civilised ... very good. it's a shame the episodes since that one have been very poor. dunno when they'll be making any more or if that's it cut once and for all. |
