One of the funniest things in the news recently was about some cat that's under house arrest. I mean, there's a real restraining order on this cat that has been terrorizing the neighborhood. Normally, they would ask that such animals be put to sleep, but I suppose not in this case. Crazy Cat Terrorizes Connecticut TownFAIRFIELD, Conn. - Residents of the neighborhood of Sunset Circle say they have been terrorized by a crazy cat named Lewis. Lewis for his part has been uniquely cited, personally issued a restraining order by the town's animal control officer. "He looks like Felix the Cat and has six toes on each foot, each with a long claw," Janet Kettman, a neighbor said Monday. "They are formidable weapons." ( continue) I say if they're more stories like this, I'd watch the news more. That's what I call entertainment. ;D

i could spoil this by bringing in a complicated legal issue ... so i will should animals be treated like rights-holders in any way, and if so where is the limit and why? discuss ;D

i could have written a jurisprudence essay on that, but i chose a different topic. but essentially that is a question raised by the act of giving a restraining order to an animal, rather than putting it down or just issuing a fine to its owners.
personally, i'm not a cat person. i say kill it.
