Have been out doing family stuff so wasn't able to reply to this until now.
I think this whole "freedom for safety" business is way out of hand. For one, I think the Bush Admin as done enough spying on folks in the U.S. For another, it isn't as though before the Patriot Act we had no idea about terrorist activities. The FBI (and a number of other government bodies) *knew* of the 9/11 attack and tried to warn the president. Not that I'm a big fan of the current government bodies, but I honestly think Dick and Dubya are putting too many restraints on American freedoms and should back off to see if our intelligence agencies can get their acts back together. Also, I'm not trying to be facetious here, but I really would like to have my freedom over my safety.
