It's kind of amusing, though, since homosexuals don't naturally procreate; do they think they will eventually "die out"? Actually, that may happen, though it seems to have a purpose, like diabetes (useful in famine).

that's a good point ...
if it's genetic then maybe all this encouraging gays to come out (hence not have children of their own) and rejecting their sperm (hence not having the chance to create children at all) will mean that it should die out within a few generations ...
unless it's not genetic, in which case this is just really stupid (but quite amusing)

I agree with the critics. It's heterosexism.

At least one would assume that since having kids takes a man and a woman. Unless one believes that one or both parents of homosexuals were really homosexual and pretending to be heterosexual thereby some how passing on that gene!! (Lol) The only reason I can see for possibly doing this would be for health reasons. For instance, does anyone know if sperm from someone with Aids passes that on to the child? Other than that, I think it's just another way to prejudice against the homosexual community.

I don't remember where I've read it, but supposedly everyone is bi to some degree. No one is completely swinging one way or the other. And then you have the gene present in the couple who are going to conceive. The whole XY chromosome thing where if parent 1 contributes the X chromosome that has some of their genes and one of those happens to be a homosexual tendency gene and parent two contributes another X chromosome which happens to have the homosexual tendency gene..... I think... But yeah, the AIDS do get passed on from child to parent. That's why people are angry about the AIDS situations in Africa where people with strong religious beliefs reject the use of condoms or it's not accepted or understood in a certain culture and people don't want to use them.
