Police: Valentine's Day suicide plot preyed on vulnerable womenPORTLAND, Oregon (AP) -- In an Internet chat room, a man reached out to more than two dozen emotionally fragile women, but prosecutors say he wasn't looking for dates. Instead, he allegedly tried to persuade them to end their lives on the day love is celebrated.[/b] Why do you think people are so vulnerable like that?

I dont' know.......I don't go on the internet to contact men or women. Someone I knew signed me up for all this stuff on the net that was dating things, you know match.com and things like that. I have got the weirdest responses(50 year old men mostly). So I took a lot of what was put up down. UGh. weirdos. I think a lot of people on the net are just desperate. Some are so desperate, in real life if a man went up and asked them I don't think they'd do it. There's something about the internet.....

I was never a fan of those dating things, whether they are in the newspaper or online. But in Hinduism, people use the online dating thing. It has the person's name and a picture and all that. I've never heard of such a case with them. But I think it's mostly because the parents choose a mate for their child and the chances of someone taking advantage of such a service for malign intent, in my opinion, is kinda slim.
