Some people feel wal-mart is evil and others don't and think it's one of the best stores to shop at. Do any of you have any thoughts on this?

I occasionally shop at Wal-mart because the prices are good, and they generally have a good selection of things, however, I'm very careful and cautious because I don't like to shop in a place where I know that things (like clothing) have come from sweatshops...and there's conflicting information about whether or not Wal-mart does, etc. I suppose I could just ask... lol

It is really quite simple, whatever Louis Black might have to say about the matter, Wal-Mart, especially the "super" one's, are the literal gateways to the abyssal planes of the nine hells. I saw it with my own eyes, never went back.

I consider it evil, but occasionally shop there. Mostly due to my mom being the price maniac she is.

Heh. I'd rather shop at Wal-mart then mall outlet stores. The prices are just too outrageous. I remember walking into the Gap and seeing a pair of socks on for $50! WTF? I haven't got that kind of money to spend...and even if I did, I still wouldn't pay that kind of money for a stupid pair of socks! I mean, I agree that Wal-mart is no candy store, but at least the prices are pretty reasonable. I can get a cd there for half the money I'd pay at the HMV in the mall. btw...thrift-stores and vintage tees rock!

Yes, but your shopping at hell. I'll buy the crap that I can't pay for anyday. You'd pay a ridiculous rip-off price for something that you can get cheaper somewhere else? No offense, but priorities? I mean, so you're shopping in hell...? Is it really that bad? For real though...? There's nothing to be ashamed about...shopping at Wal-mart (unless you're buying leather or fur...or something made by a poor little child somewhere...in which case I spit on you...but that goes for all places).

Well, isn't that what Target and Old Navy is for? I know they don't supply everything but... Well, here are some things I dug up. It's not about shopping at low-cost stores. There is nothing wrong with that. I had a friend who worked at Wal-Mart. Notice the worked.. Anyways, I know the following site may seem silly, but maybe they aren't so silly after all. problems with walmart...And here are some others. Wal-Mart watch

Hey Tiger, there are more options than super-overpriced mall stuff, and Hell (Wal-Mart) stuff. Given the choice, assuming I can't pay for the things at the mall, I would find an alternative store, preferably thrift-shops.

I HATE WALMART! The only time I'd shop there would be at night when there's no one there. It's a people magnet.....and I have panic attacks when I can't move or get out of a place. We're having a Target built here and I can't wait until it opens, it will be cleaner, and better taken care of. I hate K-mart
I like some clothes there. I won't lie, I really hate the mall. Overpriced, sure it might be(but you can go to an outlet), but it doesn't cater to people of all sizes. And it's all a matter of quality, really-so it depends where I might go and how much money Imight have on me to spend. I LOVE HOT TOPIC though, and I love Agaci, and Charlotte Russe. But I can forget getting jeans in the mall.
Outlets and Discount stores are good.

Well speaking from experince before I used to work at Walmart I thought they were great cause of the low prices etc. But when I worked there I saw a different side, they treat their workers like crap, pay you less pay, work you into the ground for stuff that is not even part of your job despirction sp?, running other companys out of bussiness or taking their customers etc. Now when I worked their I was getting into issues with me being a cashier, money was coming up short on my drawers..I wouldn't find out until like a week later that it I was short.
I told the store manager about and he took care of it, at least I thought I did, then it happen all over again. I then started falling in love with someone and I thought she really liked me but then I found out she was playing me cause she was pregrant and didn't know who the father was. So she was going to use me to be the father of her children since she sleeps around. Then I got caught stealing(yeah I know how stupid) and was banned from Walmart for life. But later I found out that after 4 months looking for a job, I realized that it was part of my soul plan to leave Walmart cause of the situation with the girl that I fell in love with. Reason is because I got into a verbaul fight with one person that I worked with over there, and she was I believe friends with the guy and that if I didn't leave sooner or later it would get very ugly or worse.
I personally hate Walmart now, because now I know what it is really like and what they are trying to do, but like the old saying goes "what goes up always must come down"

That truly depends. I always hit them on a sale, if I can go at all. I would not buy hair dye there, though they sell it. I would not buy make up. I wouldn't buy shoes.
But for a little t shirt. That's ok. I will agree with you though, on their dresses and costumes. You're better off making it yourself out of better material. It depends on what you're looking at .
They're not as good as they used to be-you could get good quality cloaks there-they don't sell that anymore.. And if you have their sister store torrid around, they sell better stuff.
