Okay everyone, let us as discuss why we love cats. What is it that makes them so special to us?

I love the purring, and they like to curl up near you or sometimes on your belly, back..My little bobcat minx Bobby love to massage my neck, and it feels great. he also loves to curl up under my neck, and purr his little motor..I love cats, but I'm still a little dog person. I love my little yorkshire terrier Pebbles she is my second baby..My other little kitten is a calico named amber..

Well, in the case of the one I have now, Angel, he keeps me on my toes. Not to knock dogs down or anything, I've just never seen so many traits and personality come out of dogs like you will cats, but I'm probably very wrong there.(I do love dogs, I've got three of them)
Angel sleeps in the sink, he will only drink water out of the tap, he has jumped in the shower with me a time or two, he likes to hide in hampers and jump out like a jack in the box..boy I could go on...
I think we like them because they are so independent.

Angel sleeps in the sink,... My dog usually jumps in the tub after someone took a shower so he can lick the water up. It's cute seeing a little Jack Russell getting into lots of trouble. But at the same time... My dog is a unique character, he is so calm and peaceful. He doesn't like weapons (kiddie toys such as guns and swords) and he doesn't like when people are arguing and will do anything he can to stop it. (including nipping both parties...) he's basically a peacemaker. I don't know if he picked that up from being around me or something, but I think we both have something spiritual going on. But back to cats, I think they're great creatures. I sometimes wouldn't mind reading the minds of the animals, especially cats. They're so awesome. ;D

I had this crazy cat experience recently. As some of you know, I work with animals. Anyway, I went in to a room full of cats (in cages of course;D) and I like to pet them and say hi and all that. As soon as I walked in, a cat named 'Pogey' meows as a greeting. I looked directly at him and I just felt that this cat had so much life in him. It's not like he did anything physically to make me think so, but I felt something about him.
Anyway, I saved the best for last and greeted all the rest of the cats. When I got to him, he left me give him a massage and all. Then, he sat down. Slowly he comes up on his hind legs and slowly he reaches his paw out between the bars. I wasn't nervous, but cautious because I thought he was going to pull a fast one and scratch me. To my surprise, it seemed like he wanted to slowly stroke my face. I thought that was so interesting and crazy.
So yeah, that's my story. ;D

aww well now we have two cats, Angel and Tux. Tux is very vocal, while Angel is not. Both fight over who's going to sleep with whom in the house at night it's kinda funny. You would like this Tara, a couple who designed their house just for their cats, with cat walkways, it's wild... www.thecatshouse.com/cats_house/ch_index.htm

That's so cool! I love cats. My cat is extremely vocal. He loves to talk all the time and he's constantly looking for attention.
