Where did humanity originate?

I figured we could discuss where humanity originated. Some say it was areound Europe, others say the African region, others say Asia. What are your thoughts or what were you taught?

i saw something on tv once (probably bbc) about this and they think the first homo sapiens originated from somewhere in central-eastern africa and his skin was kind of muddy-red colour.

interesting that it was a muddy-red colour as the creation story told in genesis in the bible mentions that God made Adam out of dirt.

i've also seen something else on tv that suggests there were maybe several origins - one in africa, one in asia, one in south america, maybe one in north-western europe as well - but i can't remember that relevance of it (eg. whether there was any evidence for it or whether it was just some crackpot theory someone had dreamt up some time )

You know, thinking about how it may be possible that humans originated in various places...it kinda reminds me of a bunch of zombies rising all at once. I know, I know, crazy imagination.
