Does anyone know about the designer babies? you know, the ones where you cna choose their eye color and everything? (Kinda like sims2...) Well, what are your thoughts on that? Would you create a designer baby for yourself?

Never. I would take measures to insure a genetic disease was not passed on, but the idea of "designing" a being disgusts me.

I think it's kinda scary. It's fun on the sims, but I wouldn't try it in real life. I wonder how the ones that exist now would be like in society when they grow up? I mean, within a few decades you could come across these people and not know it. But if there was a problem with these people(disease, deformity, etc.), then people might not treat them with respect and it wouldn't be their fault.

I've heard of people choosing the baby's gender before, though I would guess that would be done along with the invitro procedure.
I don't know, I kinda feel funny about that whole changing the baby's dna makeup. I'm not saying that if I had the chance to prevent a child from having a disease or a birth defect, I wouldn't jump at the chance, but there's just too much potential to screw somethign up there . I don't know.
