I had an interesting conversation about time, whether it is a linear concept or a circular idea. If we were to travel at a speed faster than light, would we be able to get back close to the point in which we started and see ourselves, would we have traveled through time? I mean, me and two other people came up with so many points. What are your takes on time and time travel? Do you think we can change the past?

We can't change the past, as if we went back in time, we always would have gone back, even in the time where we did go back. Somewhat confusing, but I hope you can get it.

I know what you mean Tara, this stuff has always boggled me. We're in good company though, it seems that most of the time even the experts are boggled. I found a great site that really helps you to understand the basic concepts of time, time travel and the speed of light: www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/time/index.htmlParticularly the section called "Think like Einstein (Hot Science) is a great!!

But with me, I could care less about time unless I need it. I like living in a "timeless" world, yet still being very concsious of it. For example, I don't wear a watch and supposedly those who don't seem to be less stressful and/or anxious about things in life. Forgot where I read that though. But I was like "cool, I don't wear one anyways" I'm rarely late for anything and I'm pretty good at procrastinating too.

I do not beleive in even the possibility for time travel, mainly because I don't believe in the time continuum. The theory that all points in time occur at once continuosly, just doesn't make sense to me.

Thats becaue its not true. Time travel relies on beingable to tranverse the time dimension, not its lack of existence.
