I love it, Tara!
In a way, it reminds me of a Calyr prayer, although I realize that the above was a cute joke. I just like the way Calyr doesn't feel that pride is sinful, as so many other religions do. I hope it's okay to post the prayer:
Evening Thanks:
Many newcomers to the Church are surprised at the following prayer. In some religions, all “pride” is considered a “sin”. This is not so in the Calyr faith. Pride in a day well spent, in the service of God, is not considered sinful. Innocent pride, such as that which a child feels when he has learned to write the alphabet, is not an abomination to God. Rather, it is a joy to our heavenly parents. Therefore, this prayer encourages pride in doing good works and being happy in God’s grace. One may admonish that it is not good to feel too prideful, lest vanity grows. But excess in any form is not encouraged; pride is merely one emotion that must be tempered with humility.
I have not failed, my heavenly parents!
The day was not wasted; the dream did not fade!
I stayed on the path and have journeyed a little,
Closer to your waiting arms to abide.
Grant me another tomorrow to praise you;
Grant me another that I may give hope;
To all that are struggling and stumbling around me;
And help fill their lives with your service and pride.
