Here's a little thing I made during my english exam (ironically, grammar has been sacrificed for rhythm):
Silently the willow weep To the ground its branches creep Touching waters O so deep.
So stands the oak, up on high While all else passes by Stairway ‘tween the earth and sky.
Stoicly the pine does stand Bending not to one’s demand Guardian of the barren land.
But what is this, with blossoms white? Still it shines, O so bright Even in the midst of night Bent and stunted, as by a blight Basking in the summer light It is the dogwood that please my sight.
I've always liked the dogwood, for some reason or another. ;D
