"a sheep's heart, lungs and liver boiled in its own wee stomach - tastes as good as it sounds" - groundkeeper willie, from the simpsons. anyone ever tried it? personally, i love it, but then, it's sort of a requirement of being scottish haggis, neeps and tatties (that's haggis, turnips and potatoes) is a burns' supper, and that's what we eat once a year for rabbie burns' night (rabbie burns was a famous scottish poet from the olden days - look it up, why don't you, he wrote some awesome stuff)

I'd try it as long as I don't know what it is. Then you can tell me afterward.

lol, it's all good - just think what's in mcdonald's burgers it's just all the leftovers of a sheep after you've eaten the real meat, add a few spices and mix it all together, it's good

ugh I won't eat hot dogs, either. BLEH!!
Sorry hon, if I didn't know beforehand what it was I might give it a whirl, but it just doesn't sound like something I could know the contents of and willingly eat.

oh come on, do you ever eat mince? it's just the same as that exept it's mutton and not beef and it's got a couple of spices added in. if you're ever offered a free sample then you might as well try it ... i'm off to make some hot dogs for dinner now

I'd eat haggis. It's made mostly of meat after all, and I'm always looking for new ways to disgust vegetarians.

hurray, good for you earthen child ;D what are chicken hot dogs? i've never seen those before - for dinner i just had some frankfurters in hot dog rolls with ketchup. normally i'd have chili sauce on them but i've run out they weren't particularly good today, i think they might have gone off ...

Chicken hot dogs are just hot dogs made of chicken with food dye to make them look like hot dogs. I eat turkey franks, but rarely.

in scottish fish and chip shops you can get a haggis supper - which is a deep fried haggis and chips ... mind you, you can get pretty much anything deep fried in scotland (including pizzas, burgers and mars bars). pretty unhealthy stuff, but we're still not as obese as americans (yet) ...
i've never actually tried it but some of my mates get it all the time on the way back from a night out (i usually get a sausage supper, or a doner kebab ... or i pop into the nearest 24 hour co-op and get something from there - it's good to eat something after a night out cos it makes the hangover less severe in the morning).
they don't deep fry the mince, by the way. a haggis is a wee bag of mince (it used to be a sheep's stomach though i dunno if they still use it) and they deep fry the whole bag. it basically just heats it up and makes it crispy on the outside but you don't have to eat the deep fried stomach ...

A fried mars bar I heard of that not that I would try it because I don't want to suffer from a heart attack or stroke at my age! (didn't Elvis Presley eat stuff like that).
I seem to remember the haggis I had came in a plastic covering not a sheeps stomach. I suppose that is a good thing rather that a bad thing...
The thing I notice about Scotland is that alot of the shop keepers try and short change you ie. give you less change than your actual change and petrol in the highlands and Orkney Islands is expensive, at one place petrol cost £1 and that was when I went 3 summers ago.
Also alot of teenagers are either Chav's or Grunge/Goth's.
