Has anyone here been keeping up with the winter olympics ? I normally don't. But this year, I've been trying to catch the skating. I really like to watch skating.

I watched the women's figure skating. It was so disapointing when Sasha Cohen fell, i definatly wanted the u.s. to win gold (though im not sure why), or maybe even that russian girl Slutsskya since she had so much trouble in her life. I guess its cool that Japan won though its thier only medal this olympics...

i've been keeping an eye on the scottish competitors whenever possible. a lot of the brits are scots, since we're up north where it's cold and play sports like curling. an english girl won a medal in the skeleton, though, which is pretty cool. did you see the british (scottish ) skating pair? they finished tenth, which is better than they expected, but they're on their way up so they should do better next time. they're brother and sister, which seems a little odd to me considering some of the outfits and positions that they get into (though the guy sounds a bit gay), and their name is Kerr (can't remember their first names). also, the curling teams are all scottish, except the women got knocked out in the group stage and the men lost the 3rd place play-off to the USA (grrr ... ). they were our best chances for gold medals i think, since the women won gold last time (they beat canada and the canadian newspapers reported "England wins curling gold", despite the fact they were all scottish ). pretty sure there are a few more scots, eg. skiers and snowboarders, but none that spring to mind. did anyone see or hear about the women's snowboarding slalom? it's a head to head competition, two competetitors do runs side by side and the first to the bottom wins and it's a knock-out competition like that. some american woman was miles ahead and going to win gold but she tried to show off by doing a jump and fell flat on her arse and lost ;D it was either the slalom or the snow-cross race thing, i can't remember.
