What's the nastiest dish you've ever tried? Or how about when you were a child, what did you hate eating most that your parents forced you to eat?

my grandparents wanted me to eat beets one night before they took me to church. I had to eat those or stay at the table until I ate them.
Oh they were gross, but I had to try them or I'd stay there at the table until it was time to go to bed. I cried and cried about that because I didn't want to eat them..

I'm with you diana, those are pretty nasty. And I'm not sure if it's just me, but it takes me forever to eat those things. My mom loves them.

My parents never forced me to eat anything, but I've always hated onions, especially when theyre soft and slimy. I still can't eat them. When I was in elementary school, there was a woman who would walk around the cafeteria and order us to eat whatever part of our lunches that was still on our trays. I always hated chuckwagon corn and never actually ate it when she told me to.

So what did you do, disguise it?

i think that would be against your human rights (ie. the UN Convention) i don't like seafood much, i've had some very awkward meals where i was served some fish and i didn't know what to do with it my parents used to cook me beef-olive (or however it's spelled) and although i didn't mind it, it just looked like poo ;D

You know what's odd littlepea? Something you said in a thread elsewhere on the board gave me the feeling you are a Pisces. I checked your birthday, but I wasn't entirely sure as I don't know the correct dates. I just looked into a book I have about various zodiacs and indeed you are. So when you said the fish thing in this thread, I said, "That's it, I've gotta look" and there it was, true indeed. So I was thinking as odd and supersticious as it may sound, you may not want to have much to do with eating your own sign. lol I wonder if it has anything to do with surfing Divine Whispers with meditation music on. lol

So what did you do, disguise it? I gave it to one of my friends who actually liked it and we traded foods when she wasn't looking. Now that we're on the topic of veggies, I hate celery. I just can't stand the stringy texture.
