anyone else keeping an eye on the tennis? i'm particularly interested because there is a Scottish guy called Andy Murray doing pretty well. he stormed through his 1st round tie in straight sets while Tim Henman (the british number 1) stumbled through after losing his first 2 sets. Murray's only 18 and he looks like the bee's knees. it's cool cos scots have never ever been good at tennis ... until now after his match yesterday there was an american guy interviewing him and as well as sounding arrogant and patronising (he's american, he can't help it ) he kept calling him English. i'm sure he meant to say british but andy corrected him a few times by reminding him that he was actually scottish ... see, we're all mad here, it's not just me ;D

Well, that would be very annoying. I'd get pretty mad. But you know we U.S. folk love categorizing people and cannot be bothered with anyone else's feelings.

by mad i mean that we're all loonatics, not that we're all angry (just in case you misunderstood). murray went out today in the 3rd round to the number 18 seed or something, some guy called nalbandian. he won the first two sets and then lost the last three. it's the first time he's played a competetive game that went to 5 sets and he ran out of steam but he's a hero in britain for what it's worth. he's being hailed a world-beater in the making, i only hope he isn't over-hyped (the english media have a tendancy to over-hype anything and everything that shows promise and i'll be even more bitter if they spoil it for us scots ). he still lasted longer than tim henman who is the best british player since world war two
