Are we really that different on the inside? What does skin color have to do with it or is it more to do with a cultural or social thing?

I've heard of this before actually a few months ago on the radio. I was thinking that that one could trace back their family history and notice that certain diseases may show up quite a few times in various members. I think it could be one of two factors, the first being the way of life and type of climates and enviornment one's ancestors would have to live in. Some people would have a strnger immune system b/c of how the body has develoed over generations in one family. In others, it may not be apparent. However, I think it would require lots of testing from both sides of your family and your genetic makeup to find out whether or not you'd need pills. Skin color plays little to no role. The other factor I was thinking was lifestyle in your family history. Your family has either grown up eating healthy foods and others have had tradition in eating fatty foods. If you believe in evolution, then this might make some sort of sense to you. But if not, things should work the same for just about everybody. That's my little
