I scored a Reagen 0,0,2,4 As with almost all of these things there are some gray hairs being split in funny ways while others issues are not being looked at too closely, but not bad.

My wife got 1,4,4,6
Some of it is kind of tricky
like 21. Is outsourcing of American jobs justified if it allows for cheaper goods?
I hate seeing all the jobs go overseas, but I don't think it is Uncle Sam's job to prevent it by force.

Right - I felt that way about several of the questions. Ideally I would answer "Yes" or "No" but given today's world I'm more in the middle.

Conservative/Progressive score: 0 You are a social conservative. You believe in traditional values, and care first and foremost about your country, your family, and your religion. You dislike the agenda of the left because you see them as trying to destroy these things.
Capitalist Purist/Social Capitalist score: 1 You're a Capitalist Purist. You believe that the market should be completely free, and that the invisible hand of the market will make sure that the people get what they want and will do it in the most efficient way possible. You believe in small government, less taxes, and more privatization.
Libertarian/Authoritarian score: 3 You are libertarian. You think that the government is making way too many unnecessary laws that are taking away our innate rights. You believe that the government's job is primarily to protect people from harming other people, but after that they should mind their own business, and if we give the government too much power in controlling our lives, it can lead to fascism.
Pacifist/Militarist score: 11 You're a Militarist. You believe that since the United States has so much power in the world, it has a responsibility to keep the world safe. You think that if the US does not exert its power in the world, it may eventually lose its power, and that we can not look weak in the face of terrorists, and must take them out where they live.
Wow thats amazing. Almost prefectly dead on with all of those. And I'm indepentant in my political party. That is crazy.

I didn't really like some of the questions. Like Teancum said, just because I don't necessarily like that so many jobs are going overseas, etc., doesn't mean that I think the government should start passing laws to force companies not to outsource, though the questions that really got to me were the ones on gay marriage and abortion, and ethical issues like that. I am a fairly strict believer in the separation of church and state (in that I believe that, because our system says they are separate, they very well should be), so I generally think the government has no place in dictating what I consider to be "personal" ethics (i.e. ethical decisions and positions that largely have only a personal impact--though where to draw that line is a matter of honest debate). That is, I do not think whether I personally believe abortion is generally ethical or unethical necessarily has any impact over whether I believe the government should control abortion or not, which is what I believe the question is really trying to get at.

Conservative/Progressive score: 6 You are a social moderate. You think the progressive movement is overall well meaning, but sometimes it goes too far. On issues like abortion and affirmative action, you see the negatives of both extremes on the issue. You probably value religion, but at the same time you think it should still stay separate from the government
Capitalist Purist/Social Capitalist score: 6 You are a Moderate Capitalist. You support an economy that is by and large a free market, but has public programs to help people who can't help themselves or need a little help. Pretty much you believe in the American economy how it currently is.
Libertarian/Authoritarian score: 2 You are libertarian. You think that the government is making way too many unnecessary laws that are taking away our innate rights. You believe that the government's job is primarily to protect people from harming other people, but after that they should mind their own business, and if we give the government too much power in controlling our lives, it can lead to fascism.
Pacifist/Militarist score: 3 You're a Pacifist. You are angered that the United States thinks it should dominate the world through its military force. You think that the only time war is necessary is when we are in direct danger of being attacked. You also believe the US spends way too much of its money on defense, as we can practically cut it in half and still easily defend ourselves, and use that money to fix all our economic problems. Wow. Talk about being way off.

Conservative/Progressive score: 12 You are a social progressive. You generally consider yourself a humanist first. You probably think that religion and patriotism go too far in society. You probably consider yourself to be a citizen of Earth first rather than a citizen of your country.
Capitalist Purist/Social Capitalist score: 11 You're a Social Capitalist, you think that, left to its own, Capitalism leaves a lot of people behind. You think that Health Care should be free to all, that the minimum wage should be raised, and that the government should provide jobs to all that are capable of having them. You likely hated the Bush tax cuts, and believe that the middle class has gotten poorer, and the rich have gotten richer over the past several years. The far extreme of social capitalism is socialism.
Libertarian/Authoritarian score: 5 You're a Moderate. You think that we all have certain inalienable rights that must be protected, but that sometimes laws need to be made to protect the majority's lives or quality of lives. You might think that the 2nd amendment isn't necessary anymore because letting everyone a gun is extremely dangerous to the community. You might also be against illegal drug use or public pornography because of its possible harmful effects to society.
Pacifist/Militarist score: 0 You're a Pacifist.
