Or paint or sculpt, etc... I find it hard to draw images from my own mind. But I can easily takea really small picture and draw a larger version of it. The only problem with me and drawingis that I'm always erasing and drawing over and erasing. In the end it looks fine, but I want to be cool like other artists and not go through erasing all the time. Painting? Haven't spent too much time with it and I think I suck. Sculpting... I'm alright. I still think I can draw pretty well though.

I can only sketch, really. This is somewhat frustrating, as I have an idea in my mind for a drawing/painting, and it would mean a lot to me to actually get it down on paper.

I know exactly what you mean. It is very frustrating. I tried it last night and the picture came out totally different than what I intended. But you know what? I liked it a lot in the end.

I like to draw and paint; I'm not sure if my art would be considered good, but I enjoy it anyway

I took lessons... for a little under a year, and I learned how to charcoal and oil paint, and something else... But I could always draw really well, at least I think so... not since I was born, but you know what I mean. I can't sculpt but someday I'll learn how. I draw everynight before I go to sleep, though because I'm the weird runner type, sometimes its while I'm soaking in the tub after a nice lil' jog. I usually draw anything that comes to mind... sometimes I just practice sketching eyes, lips and stuff... but I always draw. Its fun, you just get lost in what your doing, and it helps your mental capabilities as far as being a visual thinker goes, I think... <-- Hey, I just realized that was funny. Oh well, I have a simple sense of humor... so yeah, I like to draw. -W.P.

I'm horrible with eyes. It can take me ten minutes just to get the eyes right on a character. I think I'm good at sculpting people (like miniature ones out of clay). They're always so amusing to me after I'm done with them. lol I've never experienced with charcoal or oil. I love art, I might as well start creating it. Maybe when school starts, I'll take an art class and see what that's like. .... Nevermind. I never really liked art classes. I guess I never liked being told what to do when it comes to creativity. Forget it, waste of money. lol But I'm all for the programs. Not everybody is like me you know. ;D

My dad ran an art school so I did the works... I was pretty good, but never had the passion for it that he did. My favorite medium was scratchboard.

What's that?

It's board (like posterboard) coated with clay and then sprayed with black ink. Then you scratch off the ink. Great for animals. Some people then apply watercolor, but mine were always just white scratches on the black. Here's a pic of one (not mine).

You know, I do recall doing something similar in a summer camp one year. Except we colored a blank 8x11 piece of paper with colored pencisl or crayons (I forget which one). Then our counselor painted it black. After it dried we were instructed to use toothpicks and draw pictures. I thought that was the coolest thing. ;D
posterboard coated with clay...never heard of it. The pic above...I assume that one has watercolor on it?

Nope. Can't draw, paint (not even a room with only one colour), sculpt, BUT I can usually catch a fish when I go.
