I'm playing the sad songs (*cough*the good songs*cough*). Currently I am listening to a mix of the Beatles, The Beach Boys (yes, they did have a few sad songs), The Bread (my favorite sixites/soft rock band) and Nights in White Satin, by the Moody Blues, arguably one of my favorite songs. ;D Oh, and Daydream Believer, too. So what if its happy?! Its stuck in my head!

The Beatles, A violin cd of Andrew Lloyd Webber music, Beauty and the Beast the Bway musical, and The Phantom of the Opera.
Bread? Are we talking about the group that has the song "If" on it? My dad sung that at my parents wedding as my mum went down the aisle, so it's a special song in my family. ;D Good group, i've heard some of their stuff.

Yep! "If" is one of their most popular songs, though it is not my favorite ("Aubrey" is a great sad song, and so is "Lost Without Your Love"). Pretty much, I like the stuff they did in more of a sixites style than soft rock (which is ironic, considering I like soft rock much better than sixties music).

Right now, I really love the CD "Salt Rain" by Susheela Raman. It's South Indian music and the first song "Ganapati" is so amazing; it sounds like nothing I've ever heard before.

So you like Indian music. You might like the album Raga Cycle. Dean Evenson is in it with two Indians by the name of 'Pandit' Shivnath Mishra and Deobrat Mishra. It's god for meditation and relaxation and there is a song for each time of the day. There are five tracks with the shortest one being 8 minutes long. Edit to add: I just got to listening to someof the tracks on Amazon of the cd you were talking about Ophelia. I knew I recognized her voice. She had one of her songs,'Mamavatu' in one of Putumayo's collections called, "Asian Groove".

I like that song because it reminds me of country music...but it has an Indian flavor and I like that.
