Im the only Sims fan on this site 'cause the rest of you all suck. ;D So I just wanted to share that I'm excited about the Sims 2 coming out and that I can't wait to buy it. Now, about what I'm going to do with my old Sims... I might keep them on the computer. After all, I have many GB of space left. I've decided to stop downloading object for my old Sims as I'm keeping space for the new ones. Basically these fools look so much more real than the older Sims and you can have generational families and everything. One of the best selling computer games on the market.

I got the Sims 2 yesterday in the mail from ebay. I bought it for $36 when I think the game actually costs $60 ;D. My computer needs more Ram memory to play the game, b/c it's so slow right now. (I only have 128 when you need 256 as minimum requirement). I will be buying my memory either today or tomorrow. But awwman is this game awesome. I was a little sad when I decided to delete my first sims (not that I needed the hard drive space, I had more than enough). I had unleashed, livin' large, and hot date. But with this game, you have all of that except I'm not sure about the animals yet. The scrolling is smoother than ever! Whenever you rotate, you rotate at an angle of 45 degrees instead of 90. The facial expressions are hilarious. Right now, I'm only playing the Goth family. Mortimer is an old fart. Cassandra is engaged and has a little boy who is enrolled in private school. Each sim has fears and apsirations that you can help them fulfill. For example, I think Mortimer is after the younger women in town and that's one of the aspirations he has is to end up flirting with them. (BTW, Bella is dead) I mean, there is so much to do with this freakin' game. I won't miss my old sims that much at all. so yeah, it sucks it's slow right now so I've gotta update my video driver and get mroe memory and I'm done. You won't be seeing me on the forums for much longer. lol j/k

Just lettin' people know that there is a patch for both the CD and DVD version of the Sims. So get your hands on that. There are also downloads for the holidays. Go to thesims2.comAnd as always, have fun! Oh yeah, and also, they are whispering plans for an exapnsion pack for this game. It's called: Sims2: University or something like that. your children can go to school and earn a degree. After earning their degree, they will unlock 4 new career paths having t do with that career (I think). But it has everything a university/college life has in the game supposedly. Can the game get any better? Now all they need is to add some pets and make real resturants where chefs can serve you (like sims: hot Date) and then I'll never leave the computer!

I've got a problem people...
For example, this is a big problem especially in community lots. I would go in with my sim and it would be at the same angle we had in the old sims. I would play around with the angels and try to get it to a sims head view instead of the angled view we used to have in the old sims. I'm starting to think this is a bug b/c I know how to use my camera view. Does anyone else have this problem?
I've tried:
I've tried using the side cameras and I've also clicked the toggle for the bird's eye view and I still get that same stupid view that the first sims had. When I zoomed in, I was looking at the floor on an angle, not the bird's eye angle. Did anyone else have this problem and if so, how did you fix it? Thanks for help in advance.

Havn't actually been using it enough to see if thats a problem....my sister has been hogging it (due to an agreement, actually, so I can't really complain -- I got the better half). Do you have the most recent version (1.0.0.971, if my memory serves me correctly)? If so, report the bug to them.

I don't know about a racent version, but I did download the patch a few days ago. I haven't played it so much though because I'm back with reading V.C. Andrews again. I got the book in the mail yesterday and I'm almost done with it today.

Oh i love the Sims although I dont have Sims 2 yet . But I have the Sims(no 1) with every expansion pack except 'making magic' (I might get it soon). I have seen Sims 2 and I like it takes the Sims to another level, the detail of the characters etc... is just amazing.

Yes, the sims actually smile and frown. I remember one time I couldn't stop laughing because two sims of mine just got into an argument and they were walking around with the meanest faces. If ever I'll get some sims to argue, I'll take a snapshot and put it up here for you guys.

Yeah, people always seem to comment on how addicting it is. I mean, there is no object to the game...except to get away from reality I guess.... .... ;D ... I should be working on an essay that's worth half a test grade right now. Instead, I'm discussing how addicting and time-wasting this game can be. I was just thinking... I wonder what would happen if they added a variety of religion to the mix of expansion packs. Although I wouldn't mind it... I still think it's kinda... I dunno. There would be so many different people complaining about the accuracies (or lack of) in the game... Gotta work on Psychology essay.
