This link is to the latest of many stories I've seen on people (in this case a student) being told they can't say or do things because it offends others. Freedom of speech is important, particularly when it comes to religion -- it's a big part of why our Bill of Rights is written the way it is.
Unfortunately, people have taken liberty to extend that freedom to subjects which are by their very nature offensive. It's no surprise that people find it difficult today to distinguish between things that are protected as a individual's right and things that are truly offensive.
