To be honest with you, I do believe that their is other life out there somewhere. Please note I did not say 'intelligent' life. I look at this world as a whole and am not to impressed with the intelligence. Do not get me wrong. There are tons af intelligent people in this world. It just seems that for every inteligent person there is approxamatiely 200,000 that make you wonder...
Just my opinion.

I think they are real. I would think it would only make sense because... why the hell would we have this entire universe to ourselves? I think however, if we were to have contact with them by them coming over here, they'd have to travel for quite some time. I don't think they are near us. I also think life-forms exist on different levels of energy frequency. (After all, everything is made of energy right?) So some of our equipment that is used to detect life as we know it (our frequency) may not be able to detect a life form of a higher energy frequency (or maybe lower). But I really think they don't want to communicate with us at the moment. I man, we can't even keep our hands off of each other, what makes them think they'd come out of here alive!

There are two types of "energy" inherent in particles, called spin. One is whole numbers, and one is 1/2 numbers. Evidence suggests there are no other states, and particles in other states would still exist within our "plane." In other words, you can't "phase" matter into another existence. You would, actually, have to travel an infinite distance at the speed of light. (Don't ask, but its a bit like the "halving to one" thing) I agree with you. The Baha'i Faith flat out states God has more peoples then us, and says all solar system (system--has planets) have some basic form of life (I've never actually seen that quote, but I think there are more criteria then that).

Who's "we"? There is the String Theory Multiverse, but that is actually other universes "infinitely" (can be theoretically quantified, but not reached) far away that reside by a different set of physical laws. That is, minus quantum theories of time, the only way multiverse theories seem to work.

Has anyone on this forum seen a UFO? What did it look like? How did it move? Did it make a noise? Has anyone here seen extraterrestrials? Can you describe what you saw? Anyone been abducted by them?

Touchy subject. I believe in them, but it's all so shady right now. That isn't to say I'm not aware of almost every theory on ETs that exists.

Correction! A relativistic multiverse is one where other universes are infinitely far apart. A superstring multiverse actually has separate "sets" of dimensions, which may or may not exist as separate universes. However, this has nothing to do with frequency. Frequency makes cool effects like Bose-Einstein concentrate (a quantum effect that happens when matter gets really cold; matter really does exist, on a quantum level, as waves, and a Bose-Einstein concentrate has them all on the same frequency). In short terms: Matter exists on a huge range of frequencies, but can be made to exist on one (Bose-Einstein concentrate).

i believe in UFOs - last night i saw something flying through the air but i couldn't identify it until i saw where it landed and it turned out to be a bird. yeah, it was always a bird, but it was a UFO for the 10 minutes that i couldn't identify it as for extra terrestials, i dunno, there seems to be quite a lot of dodgy goings on regarding area 51 in the US etc. obviously some people in power have something to hide ...

I like to believe in aliens, although I'm not too comfortable with thoughts of them doing experiments on me. As to why they wouldn't want to communicate with us, we probably seem really stupid and underdeveloped to them; the sources all claim aliens are very intelligent.
This is just a personal belief, but I'm convinced that Area 51 isn't the only suspicious or questionable thing that's being shroude in secrecy.

You know, someone mentioned it on the board and I'm not sure if it was in this topic or another one. But they asked an intersting question, "What makes you think that aleins are more intelligent than us?"

if they find us before we find them then they must have superior technology - i think that's what leads people to assume that they are more intelligent than we are. i guess it could be the case that they might have slightly less advanced technology but just much more determined personalities. eg. at the moment, if we want to actually go to a different solar system then it will take us a very long time (cos the nearest is several light years away). if we go at 1/1000th the speed of light (if that's even possible) then it would take us several thousand years to get there, and for us to survive that we would need some kind of ultra-massive space craft which is basically self-sufficient to keep the human race alive across that sort of distance ... so who's to say that there isn't one of these on its way over here as we speak? not necessarily more intelligent even though they find us before we find them for the record, "extra terrestial" doesn't mean that they are any more advanced than us ("extra" doesn't mean extra-intelligent) it just means that they come from a different planet (latin - extra means away from, terra means ground)
